Food for the soul - πŸ“ Poem - β€œπŸ€ In love πŸ€β€ - by ADC:

β€œIn love with life?

No, I'd be lying & deceiving you!

Well, in love yes, but not with this life & what it has to offer!

At least, not the life you know...

In love with a message, message that transforms the old into new & the dead into living.

Message that was given out of folly by scholars.

A deep living hope in an empty tomb, good news of a death that brought life, life in abundance in a desert of dry bones, light in places of darkness, places of perdition, places where there is wailing, weeping & roaring of teeth.

A message of what had been misplaced & given up for lost was rediscovered, renewed & reconquered.

In love with a carpenter with calloused hands, born among the unclean & the damned.

Cabinetmaker discarded & mocked, being humiliated among slaves formed from the dust of the earth, wild animals with hearts of stone, fierce beasts with hearts of ice, deadly serpents with hearts of poison, lethal germs with hearts of death.

Being most high king he came to serve, being supreme Lord he came to be ruled, being exuberantly rich he came to be pauper, being exalted & elevated he came to be humiliated & trampled, being perpetual he came to be mortal.

He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him.

But in fact He has borne our griefs, And He has carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken, Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness, our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His wounds we are healed.

In love with a stone, discarded by cursed men, hollow holes full of poison, filthy dressed in ashes.

A head stone, proven stone, laid for foundation, rock sculpted not by human hand, cornerstone, chosen & precious.

Living stone that covers shame.

Living stone that forgives infamy.

Living stone that brings judgment & justice.

Living stone that gives perpetual life to the one who loses his life & perpetual death to the one who saves his life.

In love with righteousness that became unrighteousness so that unrighteousness might become righteousness. Before the foundation of the earth justice was justified & exalted among the stars of the firmament.

Justice that calls us & will give us new names that no one knows.

Justice that calls us & will make us strong pillars in a glorious city.

Justice that calls us & makes us part of twelve tribes of his flock.

Justice that calls us & grafted us into the true vine bearing much fruit.

In love with a comforter, precious gift that was given to us until the day & hour was fulfilled.

Comforter that was there present, from the formation of the earth, He who forever was, He who forever is, He who forever shall be.

Comforter that reveals life giving secrets to children & hides the truth from the wise.

Comforter that opens doors no man can open & touches places no man can touch.

Comforter that searches & reveals the deepest of hearts.

In love with a perfect lamb, battered & led to be slain at the slaughterhouse.

Perfect lamb standing with seven horns & seven eyes, covered with crimson blood, lamb worthy to open the book that is written within & without & to break the seven seals.

Flawless lamb, faithful & trustworthy witness, firstborn of death who is alive forevermore.that has the key of David

Unblemished lamb who holds the seven stars is his right hand, the one who walks among the seven lamp stands.

Immaculate lamb who has & wields the sharp two-edged sword, who has eyes like a flame of fire & whose feet are like burnished bronze.

Impeccable lamb, the Holy One, the True One, He who has the key of David, He who opens & no one will shut & He who shuts & no one opens.

Pure & clean lamb worthy to be exalted by twenty-four elders, by four living creatures with golden bowls full of incense, lamb worthy to be exalted & praised by every tongue, by every people & by every nation.

In love with a name, unique & alive. The whisper of the name is peace, harmony & melody for some, a word of death, shame & fear for others.

Name above all names, living name, powerful name, name of light, name of freedom, name that will be confessed by every tongue, name that every knee will bend, name of my first & last love.

In love with life?

No, I'd be lying & deceiving you!

Well, in love yes, but not with this life & what it has to offer!

At least, not the life that you know...”
